From Taiwan’s Fields to Singapore’s Table: A New Chapter with KEK Seafood Resturant

At Flying Banana, we’ve always believed great products carry stories — of the land they come from, the people who make them, and the cultures they connect.

 

On April 22, that belief came to life in a very special way.

 

We were deeply honored to celebrate the launch of our collaboration with KEK Seafood Restaurant, together with the Mayor of Tainan, leaders from Taiwan’s farmers’ associations, our partners in Singapore, and members of the local press. Seeing everyone gathered for one shared purpose — to bring the best of Taiwan to Singapore — was both moving and meaningful.

This was more than a press conferenceIt was a milestone in a journey we’ve believed in from the beginning.

 

Bringing Taiwan’s Hidden Gems to the Table Flying Banana started with a simple idea: there are so many wonderful things from Taiwan that deserve to be discovered beyond Taiwan.

 

This collaboration with KEK Seafood Restaurant is an extension of that mission.

 

Through this partnership, thoughtfully selected Taiwanese ingredients have found their way into KEK’s menu — not just as ingredients, but as stories told through food.

 

Fragrant Oolong Tea Noodles, carrying the depth of Taiwan’s tea culture. Bright and savoury Pomelo Salt, layered with citrus notes unique to Taiwan. Naturally sweet Taiwan Dried Fruits, adding texture, balance, and surprise. These are ingredients we love because they reflect what Taiwan does so well — craftsmanship, terroir, and heart.

 

When Farmers, Chefs and Communities Come Together  What made this collaboration especially meaningful was seeing the people behind the ingredients present at the launch.

 


To have agricultural leaders from Tainan standing alongside a beloved Singapore seafood brand reminded us that food can build bridges in the most beautiful ways.

 

This is what Flying Banana hopes to do — connect people through thoughtfully curated products and meaningful collaborations.

 

More Than Products, A Shared Vision

 

For us, this partnership is not simply about introducing Taiwanese ingredients into dishes. It is about creating new possibilities for Taiwan’s producers.  It is about helping Singapore discover ingredients with heritage and soul.

 

And it is about proving that when the right partners come together, something special happens.

 

KEK Seafood Restaurant has long been loved for bringing people together around great meals. We’re proud to contribute a little taste of Taiwan to that table.

April 22 was not just a launch — it was the start of a bigger story.

 

A story of Taiwan meeting Singapore. Of tradition meeting innovation. Of ingredients becoming experiences.
